Sometimes making the smallest changes to a hairstyle can change the entire look of it. These side swept curls, for example, can be achieved by simply curling your hair all in the same direction and sweeping them to one side. It's the perfect hairstyle for the summertime because it's effortless and easy.

Our stylist Camia shows us that you don't have to have long hair to rock some side swept curls! She uses our Dolce curling iron with a 1 1/4" barrel to create these curls and just brushes them out a bit to loosen them.

The finishing touches include a bit of teasing at the top of the hair and some hairspray. Throw on a summer outfit and you're ready to go!

This week on the blog we are beyond excited to have the talented Chris Weber sharing his hair styling tips and tricks with us. Vancouver was lucky enough to be chosen as Chris' new home when he moved here from Frankfurt, Germany in 2012. Ever since his arrival in Vancouver Chris has built an incredible reputation for himself making him a highly sought out hair artist for many editorials and fashion shoots. Apart from being insanely talented, Chris is also one of the most personable hair stylists we've ever come across. He will always go the extra mile for his clients to make them feel comfortable with him and always has their best interest in mind. So if you live in Vancouver and are looking for a new stylist whether for a cut or colour, be sure to look up Chris Weber and set up an appointment!

Chris uses our Dolce curling iron (1 1/4") on the beautiful mommy blogger Sharday Engel to create some soft waves. Chris then creates an intricate double braid to show the difference between braiding with curled hair versus straight hair. Watch Chris' interview below to see what tips he has to offer when it comes to curling your hair!

Happy Victoria Day! Hope everyone is enjoying their May long weekend. Lately we've been seeing some incredible hairstyles showcasing the most beautiful braids but mimicking those braids on yourself is a different story! Becoming an expert at braiding your own hair takes time and practice but we want to assure you there are ways to style your hair if you haven't mastered the art of braiding yet.

This week's hairstyle incorporates a pretty twist to your normal half up-do. It's an easy alternative to a braid and instantly changes the look of your hair. Our stylist Camia starts out by curling Kiara's hair with our Dolce 1 1/4" curling iron before twisting her hair into a half up do. After pinning everything in place, Camia curled a few pieces using our Midnight curling wand. The tapered barrel allows you the option of having tighter curls.

This week we are featuring a hairstyle that is versatile and timeless. This sleek low pony can be worn to work, date night, or simply for running errands. Best part about this look is you can have the tail of the pony curled or straight - it looks great both ways!

Our talented in-house stylist Camia Cabrera shows us the easy steps it takes to achieve this hair look. All you really need are some bobby pins, an elastic band and a good hairspray! Hiding your hair elastic with a strand of hair is an easy trick that can dress up any type of hairstyle.

And if you are just as envious as we are of our model Alice Ko's gorgeous, strong hair - head over to her blog to check out how she maintains a healthy body & mind! We all know we could use that extra kick in the butt once in a while to rid our bad habits/feelings and we can always count on Alice to offer us some useful tips.

We all know how tough Monday mornings can be. The last thing we want to do is to spend hours washing, drying and styling our hair. Instead of looking like you just rolled out of bed and threw your hair up in a messy bun, we've added in a simple step to make your everyday messy bun more presentable!

Lucky for us we were able to catch Kiara Schwartz between her travels and play with her hair a bit. Our talented in-house stylist Camia Cabrera shows us how to seamlessly combine the braid and bun. The best way to do this hairstyle on yourself is to flip your head upside down and start braiding a section on the back of your head. Once you've finished your braid, tie it up and pull it apart a bit. The next step is for you to collect all your hair up in a pony and then shape it into your bun. Use a bobby pin to secure your bun in place once you've got it in it's desired shape!

Just like that you have a bomb hairstyle to go with your outfit! We must say that Kiara killed this hairstyle and matched it perfectly with her denim jacket. Visit her on her blog to catch some more styling tips as well as lifestyle and travel pointers!

This week we are excited to be sharing our first ever collaboration with the Blue Jasmine Beauty Group! We have the talented Jasmine Hoffman showing us a start to finish make up tutorial and Cara Christensen tying the entire look together with a charming hairstyle.

Don't worry if you aren't a pro at doing braids - the best part about this hairstyle is that the braids don't have to be perfect. By simply adding these two braids you can put a spin on your everyday curled hairstyle!
